Correct a reply, rate it, or ask the companion to try again.

Local Waifu 1.7.3 macOS Windows
plain English first

Follow the bold button names and numbered steps. Technical names are included only when you need to recognize a model or file inside the app.

Local Waifu 1.7.3 allows you to correct a saved reply from the companion.

Edit a reply

Goal

Correct the wording of a companion reply while preserving its place in the conversation.

Before you start

Only saved companion messages can be edited. Your own messages, streaming replies, and unsaved error bubbles cannot be edited this way.

Steps

  1. Hover over the companion reply.
  2. Select the pencil/edit action.
  3. Change the text.
  4. Press Enter to save.
  5. Use Shift+Enter for a new line or Escape to cancel.
  6. Use Undo from the confirmation toast if you need the previous wording back.

Expected result

The corrected text remains in the same position and shows an edited marker after reload.

Important memory behavior

Editing a reply does not rewrite memories already extracted from the old wording. If the app reports that saved memories still exist, open Memory Book and edit or delete those memories separately.

Rate or regenerate a reply

Hover over a reply to use the available actions:

  • positive feedback;
  • negative feedback;
  • Try again for the latest reply;
  • private-thought display when the model returned supported reasoning content;
  • image enlargement for attached or generated images.

Feedback helps you mark response quality. Regeneration creates another answer but does not automatically delete a memory already created from the original reply.
