Tune How She Has Adapted to You
See what she has learned about your style and lock any dial you want to keep.
Follow the bold button names and numbered steps. Technical names are included only when you need to recognize a model or file inside the app.
She changes as you talk to her. Most of that happens in the background and is intentional. The panel called How she’s adapted to you is where you look at it, and where you take control of anything that drifted somewhere you do not want.
Open it
- Open the Memory Book.
- Scroll to How she’s adapted to you.
The header says which character it belongs to. Adapting is per character, like memory and mood.
The four groups and ten dials
| Group | Dials |
|---|---|
| Conversation style | Playful teasing, Message length, Physical narration, Emoji use |
| Photos | Sends photos when asked, Shares photos unprompted |
| Reaching out | Reaches out first, Respects quiet hours |
| Memory | Memory reach, What she bothers to remember |
Each dial sits at a position she has moved to over time. The subtitle under the heading says it plainly: these update slowly from how you talk.
Lock a dial
Goal
Keep one part of her behaviour where you want it, instead of letting it keep drifting.
Steps
- Open the Memory Book and find How she’s adapted to you.
- Drag the dial to the value you want.
- Confirm that it is now marked Set by you.
Expected result
That dial stops moving on its own. Everything else keeps adapting.
If something goes wrong
- If a dial is marked Still learning, she has not seen enough conversation to be confident about it yet. Locking it is still allowed; she simply had less evidence behind the position she started from.
- If you change your mind, use Let it adapt again on that dial to hand it back.
Reset everything she has learned
Select Reset all to default.
What this does: returns every dial to its starting position and clears the locks you set.
What this does not do: it does not delete the character, your conversations, or the Memory Book. Adapting is a layer on top of the personality you built, not the personality itself. Chapter 13 covers that distinction.
If something goes wrong
If the reset appears to have had no effect, check that the active character is the one you meant. There is one dial set per character.
Read this honestly
Two things worth knowing before you judge a dial.
- A dial is a lean, not a personality. It nudges how she writes and when she reaches out. It does not overwrite the personality sliders or the persona notes you wrote in Settings → Characters.
- She adapts to what you actually do, not to what you said you wanted. If you always answer in three words, message length drifts short. If you never respond to a morning greeting, reaching out drifts down. That is the mechanism working, and it is also why the locks exist.
