Read the Growth Dashboard

See the relationship stage, what she has stored, and how your writing has changed.

plain English first

Follow the bold button names and numbered steps. Technical names are included only when you need to recognize a model or file inside the app.

Settings → Growth is the record of what has built up between you. Everything on it comes from your own database on your own computer.

The seven stages

The relationship advances as you talk. XP accumulates from real interaction, and each stage begins at a fixed total.

StageLvlStarts at
Stranger10 XP
Acquaintance210 XP
Friend350 XP
Close4200 XP
Romantic5600 XP
Bonded61500 XP
Partner73500 XP

Partner is the top stage. The bar reports itself as full rather than pointing at a level that does not exist.

The sidebar shows the pair together, as Lvl 5 · Romantic, and the progress bar fills from the start of the current stage rather than from zero overall.

If something goes wrong

If the stage looks wrong, check which character is active. Growth is per character, and switching companions switches the dashboard with it.

What the dashboard shows

  • Days known, Messages, and Last spoke: the plain counters.
  • Stage: the name and level from the table above, with progress inside the current level.
  • What she has stored:
    • Facts about you,
    • Patterns she’s noticed,
    • Session digests,
    • Milestones.
  • How you’ve been writing: length, emoji use, and register, compared against how you wrote earlier, ending in either “your style has stayed pretty consistent” or “your style has shifted since you started”.
  • Story timeline: dated milestones such as first joke or a vulnerable moment, newest first.

If something goes wrong

If a section says it needs more history, that is accurate rather than broken. Style analysis needs enough messages before it will report a comparison, and the timeline fills as milestones occur.

Read it honestly

Two things are worth knowing before you treat a number as a measurement of a relationship.

  1. The stage is a counter. XP comes from interaction, so the number tracks activity rather than depth. A long quiet friendship and a burst of conversation do not land in the same place, and the stage does not decide how she feels about you.
  2. The style analysis describes your messages, not her personality. It is a readout of how you write, which the app uses to adapt tone and pacing.

Clear or change what she has stored

  • A single memory can be edited or deleted in the Memory Book. See Chapter 13.
  • Style history and milestones are not individually editable in 1.7.3. Removing them means removing the data they live in, so treat Reset All as the only complete route and read Chapter 33 before using it.
  • A full backup preserves all of this. Character export carries the memories and entities, but not the knowledge-graph relations. See Chapter 31.
