Follow the bold button names and numbered steps. Technical names are included only when you need to recognize a model or file inside the app.
The Direct trial provides full app access for seven days. The remaining whole days are rounded up and shown in Settings → License. The app can also show reminders when three, two, or one day remains.
Start the trial
The normal flow starts the trial automatically when you finish onboarding. If Settings → License shows Not started, select Start free 7-day trial.
During the trial you can use chat, memory, images, dictation, voice, and other available features. Model downloads and provider costs are separate from the app license.
What happens when the trial expires?
- The main app is replaced by the license screen/paywall.
- Chat, image generation, voice, and other licensed operations are rejected until activation.
- Conversations, character data, memories, and soul files stay on the computer.
- Settings remain available so you can enter a key, export, back up, or collect diagnostics.
- Resetting or reinstalling does not guarantee another trial.
